“This is the year I finally get healthy…lose weight…stop smoking…exercise more…be nicer…fit into my skinny pants…etc…etc.” Sound familiar?
I was famous for this – every year I would make the same resolutions, try for about a week, give up and then wait till the following year to try again. Like my formerly foolish self, most people wait until January 1st to reassess their life – that magical day when declaring a goal will make it instantaneously happen. Pfft!
My question is – why not now? If it’s important enough to make a resolution about, it’s important enough to focus on the other 364 days of the year too! Don’t wait for 2010 to make YOU a priority.
Step 1 – find solutions instead of making resolutions
Step 2 – follow through on all of your goals
Step 3 – put in the effort needed to get the results you want
Step 4 – rejoice in your progress and let go of the setbacks
The holiday season is all about giving – so give your family the gift of your good health and many more happy holidays with you there with them. It’s the best present anyone could ask for!
Food for thought – If you procrastinate, it will take you even longer to reach your goals.
